Art in the Contemporary Age 🖌

In the Contemporary Age, there are lots of important artists and painters as well as different artistic movements. Fifth and sixth graders investigated and worked about some of them.

First of all, we created some portraits or faces inspired by Pablo Picasso and the surrealism.
We used the collage technique and we worked with cardboard.

At Halloween, we got inspired by Romero Britto Art and we made some Halloween pumpkins.
We used lot of bright colours and different patterns.

In January, we focused on Salvador Dalí Art. We took a look at his painting "The persistence of memory" and we made some melted clocks. We used a homemade salt dough. Also, we created a background inspired in the painting, too.

Over the month of February and March, we created some Street Art in the way Keith Haring did it. We drew the pictures, outlined with black felt-tip pen and covered with colourful dough.

During the month of April, we painted the Starry Night by Van Gogh.
We used oil pastels crayons and chalk paint.

Finally, over the month of May, we focused on the Pop Art Movement.
In this sense, we created some flowers inspired by Andy Warhol.
